Shark tooth scrim creates the classic theatrical lighting effect. When lit from the front, the fabric appears opaque — hiding whatever is behind it. Switch the lighting to behind the scrim, and it becomes transparent, revealing the scene. This reveal effect has been a staple of theatre productions, concerts, and events for over a century.
What makes our scrim different is that it's marine-grade polyester. Standard theatrical scrim is delicate cotton that disintegrates outdoors. Ours is made to get wet and stay outside permanently — making it perfect for outdoor events, art installations, and permanent architectural features.
